Then I turned it back to 1 channel, and the issue was resolved. One (the right) was set to a very low input level. And tadaaaa, it turned out that suddenly both channels were not set to the highest volume. However, by a hunch, I set it back to 2 channels this morning. I have a Samson C01U USB Studio Condenser Microphone, and in the audio/midi setupI had set the input format from 2 ch 16-bit Integer 44,1 kHz, front left and front right to the highest level, to 1 ch 16-bit Integer 44,1 kHz, which resolved another sound issue I had, being that before all sound output sounded mono from one speaker.

But in spite of that it must be a freak crazy coincidence, as I can't imagine that any software can cause a change in basic sound settings. I don't know how it happened, I only know that the input volume dramatically changed after I installed the 8.1 update. It's unrelated to ScreenFlow, but related to a setting for the microphone that was deeply hidden, and has spontaneously changed. I did find what caused the issue this morning.
#Screenflow 10 discount how to
In the meantime you can keep using 6.2.4 (although it's not clear if you were on version 6 or 5 or an earlier version but we also make 5.0.7 available).ĬraigS Thank you!! It didn't solve the problem, but knowing how to clear the ScreenFlow Cache is great to know. If you're still having the issue in 7.2 you should report it. On the linked page see Previous Versions at the top. We always have the last two versions available for download. You always have the option to download the previous version. You only need to put them in separate folders in Applications. I generally keep the last three versions on a system. You can always have multiple versions of ScreenFlow. Since development for the previous version generally ends around the time we release the next version which includes features and improvements we always ask to test the current version to see if an issue is fixed. You did not state the version you were having the issue with in your response so I had to make an assumption. You didn't state the version you were on so I asked if you were using 7.2 in my second post. Are you aware screenflow 7.2 isn't a free update?
